A series of warm atmospheric rivers loaded with subtropical moisture and strong winds will impact the Northwest and Canada through December 15.

The extended-range pattern beyond December 15 looks somewhat more encouraging for the Western U.S. ski resorts, but stubborn warmth will take some time to break down.
